On
behalf of the South Central Swim Team, I would like to explain
our "Practice Cancellation Policy” for some of our new SCST
families.
Because
we are users of the facilities of both the School
Districts of Janesville and Delavan-Darien, we are not allowed to
hold practice if the school has been closed due to severe weather
emergencies. Whenever school is either cancelled or closed
early due to weather conditions, you can assume practice will be
cancelled.
If for any other
reason, SCST is to cancel practice, you will be contacted by a
Coach or Board Member. As a general rule, SCST staff will wait
until 2pm to decide on a cancellation related to the weather.
Although rare, we do care about the safety of our swimmers and
their families and it is our number one concern. If for any reason
you have a question about whether or not practice has been
cancelled and it is not posted on the “news” section of
our website, please don’t hesitate to call one of
us.
