| The national team consists of those competitors who have demonstrated a skill level commensurate with that needed to compete at the United States Senior National and Junior Olympic National Championships. |

| The Senior Group is for swimmers who have not only demonstrated the abilities of the Junior Group, but have also achieved national ‘A’ cuts, AND have demonstrated commitment to competitive excellence. The recommended ages for this group are 12 & Over for girls, and 14 & Over for boys. Practices in this group are geared toward continued improvement of the aerobic base, and anaerobic training becomes a higher priority as swimmers continue to grow and develop. Swimmers will practice throughout the year from Monday through Saturday for 2 hours, 30 minutes. Practices will include 2 hours of swimming and 30 minutes of dry-land exercise. Morning practices may also be offered throughout the year. Swimmers must maintain 90% attendance to stay in this group. For a more in-depth look at the Senior Group, please click here.

| The Junior Group is for swimmers who have demonstrated the ability to swim all four strokes and can handle an increase in training volume and intensity. The recommended ages for this group are 12 & Over for girls, and 14 & Over for boys. Practices are geared toward aerobic development, and some anaerobic training is introduced here. The goal of the Junior swimmer should be to develop into high-quality senior swimmers. Swimmers will practice throughout the year from Monday through Friday for 2 hours. | The Age Group program is for swimmers who have demonstrated proficiency in all four strokes and are willing to take the next step in their swimming. The recommended ages for this group are 9-11 for girls, and 11-13 for boys. Practices are designed around building the aerobic base while maintaining good technique. Swimmers will practice throughout the year four days per week for 1 hour, 30 minutes. Practice will include 70 minutes of swimming and 20 minutes of dry-land exercise. | The Stroke Development Group is geared toward basic stroke development and refinement. The recommended ages for this group are 6-8 for girls, and 6-10 for boys. Swimmers will practice throughout the year three days per week for one hour. Practices will include 50 minutes of swimming and 10 minutes of dry-land exercise.
